Escharas Normal Type Cable RKS OBO BETTERMANN
Escharas Cables are used for placing cables of strong or weak currents on them.
The escharas in the usual applications are made of galvanized sheet metal, perforated or not, with or without a cover depending on the specifications. In cases of special requirements, it is possible to use other construction materials or other more durable protection (e.g. lamination) of the metal structure.
Escharas OBO – BETTERMANN grates represent the longest operation and resistance against the most adverse environmental conditions.
Due to the different atmospheric conditions in the crossing areas of the eschars, three different ways of anti-corrosion protection of the eschars are foreseen.
- In indoor spaces with a relatively dry atmosphere, hot-dip galvanized grates are used according to the SENDZIMIR method according to DIN EN 10142 (FS), where a zinc coating of 275 gr/m² is provided. Cuts and holes have special cathodic galvanic protection, after machining and drilling.
- In indoor areas with a corrosive atmosphere or outdoor high atmospheric corrosion or in areas with a corrosive atmosphere or outdoor high atmospheric corrosion or in food preparation areas hot-dip galvanized gratings are used after their treatment and drilling according to DIN 50976 (FT) where zinc coating 400 is provided gr/m² on both sides.
- In places where conditions such as e.g. for reasons of hygiene (food factories) or outdoor areas with high atmospheric corrosion, grates made of stainless steel or metal sheets with special surface protection are also used.
Technical specifications and advantages of eschars
OBO-BETTERMANN grates manufactured with the most modern methods offer a number of advantages:
- Special 180° curved sidewall lip design to achieve additional rigidity while protecting workers from accidents and cables from injury (e.g. another type of rack can damage cable insulation)
- Special longitudinal and transverse drilling with simultaneous special configuration of the lips of the holes in order to achieve additional rigidity for a given load and at the same time reduce the necessary thickness of their construction material
- Extremely advantageous connection of the three-meter pieces of grates with the specially made quick-connect which offers rigidity of the grate connections and the simultaneous reduction by 80% of the assembly time
